Historical fiction can include various subgenres. I'm not entirely sure which ones I'll include here, but I probably won't read many things in this genre, anyway. I'm especially unsure of whether I'd include alternate history here or in science fiction. Although I will include things here if they involve just a bit of a fantasy element, without being full-fledged fantasy stories (nor even magical realism). Some things included here may be adventure stories, others may be more serious. And there may be things I include under nonfiction that are at least partially fictionalized accounts of history, which I don't include here. Though that will often be a tough call for me.
