September 15
It was I believe July 3 that I planted carrots in a little patch of dirt my sister had dug up some time earlier for a little garden. Today I tried pulling up a couple of carrots, but the stems just broke off. I don't even know if there were any little carrots attached to them still underground or not. But then I tried a third and did pull up a little carrot, which I ate. There are a few more carrot stems above ground, so I'm hopeful that I'll be able to pull a carrot on my actual birthday, next Saturday.

September 16
I watched an episode of "Bluey" where they go down to a creek, and there's a little waterfall there. Then in the mail i got a birthday card from Gail Torosian that has a photo of a waterfall in a creek.

Sept. 21
The day is here. I didn't get enough sleep for some reason. But this morning I got a couple of birthday cards, from Beth and Mom. I also got some cash that Beth will hopefully deposit for me today. She also bought me a key lime pie because I said I didn't want a cake. Later I picked some small carrots and ate a few of them. Later, I watched Phineas and Ferb: Last Day of Summer, because today is not only my birthday, it's also the last day of summer. And it's the first day of Oktoberfest, so I'll be having some Sam Adams Octoberfest in a little while. ...I watched Naruto Shippuden and Suicide Squad Isekai. Then I got an email from the Treus with an Amazon gift card, so I went and ordered me some DVDs. Then I watched "Hailey's On It", and it just so happened to be Kristine's birthday.

Sept. 22
Eileen stopped by and gave me a card with some cash. Later I watched an episode of "American Born Chinese", and it was Jin's birthday. I wish I had watched it yesterday, but close enough.

Sept. 24
I don't usually get to go anywhere, so when I needed a new laptop, I had Beth look for one at Walmart for me and buy it. I had given her a bunch of my birthday money, but she still paid a lot of the price herself, so I'm very grateful for that. Now I have a new Chromebook, which I guess is my fourth laptop ever. There are some things I don't like about it, but for the most part it's good. Meanwhile, I have also recently ordered things from Amazon and Bull Moose that I am waiting for....

I got a card & check in the mail from Alan & Brenda.

I got a birthday card with cash from Steve and Kathy.
