I don't want to suggest that there is any inherent connection between being Irish and drinking alot. But hey, who doesn't enjoy a wee nip now and then, especially on holidays? So... try some Guinness. Which I suppose is the most famous Irish brand of beer, though you might also want to try something like Murphys or Killians, or Michael Shea's, or Conway's Irish Ale (from Great Lakes Brewing). Or perhaps you'd prefer some Irish Cream, instead of beer. Baileys is pretty popular. It's also kind of expensive. I think I might have tried it once, I don't really remember. In 2003, I tried some Irish Cream from Carolans, which comes recommended above Baileys by some, and is also cheaper. As I recall I liked it well enough. 2004, I tried Brogans, and ain't nuthin' wrong with that. I believe I tried Saint Brendan's in like 1999, and liked it. Also I liked the bottle, especially as I've always been partial to frosted glass. Of course, most hard liquors don't agree with me, but Irish Cream is alright. And even if it's a bit strong for you straight, you might want to try putting some in your coffee. If you want some non-alcoholic Irish Creme to put in your coffee, try the one from International Delight. I also personally recommend drinking it straight out of the carton, but don't tell anyone I said that. (Aw, snap, now I'm not sure if they still make cartons, which I think I liked better than these new plastic things, but whatever.) You could also try Coffee-Mate, I suppose. If you don't want Irish Cream, you might try Irish Mist. I like the bottle. And I know there are people who like the stuff. I, personally, can't stand it. But did I mention I like the bottle? Back to non-alcoholic drinks, seriously, you've gotta try to have a Shamrock Shake from McDonald's. Sometimes they don't have them, which should be against the law... but you should always check to see if they're available, because they're good, and it's a frickin' tradition, okay?
