This is a 2003 sequel to the 2001 movie Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. I watched it on DVD in 2018, on the weekend that a "Tomb Raider" reboot movie opened. Before watching the DVD, I wasn't sure whether or not I'd seen this movie, but after watching it... I'm still not 100% sure, but I think I probably didn't. Anyway, I thought it was okay, but not as good as the first movie (which itself was just okay).

So, um... after an earthquake in Greece, I guess the remains of an ancient temple were uncovered. Sort of. Various treasure hunters with boats go out looking for treasure from the temple in the sea, and one of those treasure hunters is Lara Croft. She and a couple of Greek guys find the temple, which wasn't exactly where the other people were looking for it. Lara finds a sort of Dragonball-looking orb that interests her, but then some other people show up, and kill her companions, and steal the orb. Later, when Lara is back home in England, some people from MI-6 show up to tell her about the Chinese gangsters who had taken the orb, led by a guy named Chen Lo, who was going to sell it to a guy named Jonathan Reiss, who manufactures and sells biological weapons. It seems the orb is a map to Pandora's Box, which Reiss wants to find and open so he can sell the plague it contains to various people. So, Lara arranges to have a former partner named Terry Sheridan (Gerard Butler) released from a very unpleasant prison, to help her find Chen Lo and retrieve the orb. Well, they manage to do that. But of course Reiss still comes after them. And um, you know... stuff happens.

I guess that's all I want to say. There's plenty of action, and whatever. It's all reasonably entertaining, but not particularly original or memorable.
