Missing Halloween (10:08)

I discovered this on Halloween Short Films. While I watched it, I thought it was about two little girls, but afterward, when I looked up more info on it, I learned that one of them was a boy. Anyway, it's a black & white animation with pretty much no dialogue. (And it has a somewhat anime-ish look, though the artist, Mike Inel, is from the Philippines.)
One Halloween, a young boy meets a young girl, and I guess the two become friends and go trick-or-treating together. The boy (who I originally thought was a girl) seems pretty happy, but the girl seems rather cynical, or something. But I liked both of them (despite the lack of dialogue), and I felt invested in their friendship, despite their very different personalities. The weird thing is that none of the people whose houses they stop at give the girl any candy, so the boy has to share his with her. This led me to make a guess about the girl... and apparently, my guess turns out to be right. I don't know what else to say, except that it's just a really sweet story, even if it gets rather dark, at the end.
