Witchy (9:42)
IMDb; Liz Manashil; YouTube
A teenage girl named Winter has recently broken up with her boyfriend, who cheated on her. Her father, Ken (played by John Ross Bowie, familiar to me from a couple of sitcoms), insists she go out trick-or-treating with him, even though she thinks she's too old for it. (He's dressed as Dracula, she's dressed as a witch.) She agrees to go to just one house before going to a Halloween party. And at the house they stop at, they meet a woman named Francie, who is apparently a real witch, and wants to summon the man she loved, who recently died. Though for Ken's sake, Francie pretends the whole thing is just a show she's staging for Halloween.
It's not a great short (and it's definitely not for kids), but it was cool to see Bowie in it, and I liked the father-daughter relationship.
