The Old Mill (8:42)

This is one of Disney's "Silly Symphony" shorts, released in 1937. I watched it on Disney+ in 2023, and I'm not really sure if I'd seen it before in its entirety, but I may have. It's definitely a classic, even among Silly Symphonies, and is one of very few short films in that series in which I have much interest. There's no dialogue, of course, and not much of a story. We see various animals that live in and around an old, dilapidated windmill. Then a violent thunderstorm begins, which threatens many of the animals living inside the mill. And then the storm subsides, and all is peaceful again. The short is mostly notable for its beautiful and innovative animation, which still holds up today. And I don't know what else to say.
