This originally came out in 1997, and the next year was released along with the feature film "A Bug's Life". It's available on the DVD of that movie, as well as the Pixar Short Films Collection, volume 1. It won the 1997 Oscar for best animated short film.

An old man (apparently named Geri, but there's no dialogue in the film) plays a game of chess against himself. I don't want to say how it ends, but it's a fairly amusing short.
