This was originally released in two parts via Nintendo 3DS, in October 2011. It was released on DVD in August 2012, as part of the DVD "Shrek's Thrilling Tales." I first watched it on DVD in 2018, a couple days before Halloween. It's a sequel to the 2009 TV special Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space, apparently taking place the same night as that special. The film is introduced by B.O.B., and in the story itself, he just wants to keep trick-or-treating. But it turns out that after the Pumpkins had been defeated in the TV special, they infected a patch of carrots, which now come to life. The carrots are kind of like zombies, I guess. And when they bite people (or monsters), their victims also turn into zombies. At first there's just one carrot, which B.O.B. mistakes for a kid in a costume. (This is scary to him, because he can't stand carrots... for a reason we learn in a flashback to his childhood.) However, Dr. Cockroach shows up and zaps the carrot with a ray, apparently destroying it. But shortly thereafter, it turns out that the ray actually multiplies one carrot into many. And soon, B.O.B., Cockroach, and Link are overrun by zombie carrots. In the end, it's up to B.O.B. to stop all the carrots himself, and break the curse of zombie-ism they had placed over his friends (and others). Anyway, it's a totally redonkulous film, but fairly amusing. Oh, and there are two ways to watch the film: with or without little factoid balloons that pop up on screen throughout the film (if you choose that version). They're pretty funny, so it's actually worth watching the film twice. (I watched it first without the pop-ups, and then with.)
