The Ghost of Lord Farquaad (12:32)

This film was originally shown at Universal Parks (where it was known as "Shrek 4-D"), starting in 2003. (That attraction included a pre-show that isn't part of the short film, so I've never seen it.) The film was later released on DVD as "Shrek 3-D." It has also been shown on Nickelodeon and Netflix (the latter being where it got the title I'm using here). I first saw it in 2018, as part of the DVD "Shrek's Thrilling Tales" (which was released in 2012). Anyway... I should say that as far as I know, the copy I have isn't in 3-D, but there are definitely bits of the film that I could tell were probably originally meant to be 3-D effects. But even just watching it in 2-D, it's still cool. (Except for the spiders.) Um... so, it's set right after the first film. Shrek and Fiona are on their way to the Honeymoon Hotel, along with Donkey. But Fiona gets kidnapped by Thelonius. Shrek and Donkey have to give chase, through a spooky forest that leads to a graveyard. There's a giant statue of the late Lord Farquaad and a dragon. The ghost of Farquaad possesses the statue of himself and sends the statue of the dragon to kill Shrek and Donkey. Leaving them to their fate, the ghost rejoins Thelonius, who is supposed to kill Fiona, to turn her into a ghost herself, so Farquaad can marry her. But Shrek and Donkey escape the stone dragon with help from the real dragon, and then go to rescue Fiona. I am leaving out a lot of details, of course. Lots of jokes and pop culture references and whatnot. It's all quite amusing and thrilling. And I don't know what else to tell you.
Far Far Away Idol (9:47)

This was released as a bonus feature on the DVD and VHS of Shrek 2, and takes place immediately after that movie. It's a parody of "American Idol," with a bunch of characters from the movie in a singing competition, judged by Shrek, Fiona, and Simon Cowell (all of whom also perform in the competition). It was reasonably amusing, I guess.

The Pig Who Cried Werewolf (6:48)

This was originally released on Nintendo 3DS, in October 2011. In August 2012, it was released on DVD and Blu-ray as part of "Shrek's Thrilling Tales." But I'm watching it for the first time in 2018. Anyway, two of the three little piggies are are bringing the third one, Heimlich, back from the hospital in a wheelchair. They complain about his always thinking he's seeing suspicious activities, which turn out to be nothing out of the ordinary. When they get home, he sees that they have a new neighbor, a wolf... who drops a bag full of scary-looking knives and things. But the other pigs don't believe Heimlich. They leave him alone, and it basically turns into a parody of Rear Window for a minute. Then the wolf turns into a woman. And finally the other pigs agree to go over to the neighbor's house to check things out. After that... things get weird. Well, I found it fairly amusing. Mostly in the end, when we learn what's actually going on.
