On Christmas Eve 1957, an RAF pilot named Freddie Hook takes flight for leave, but eventually has an equipment malfunction, and can't contact anyone. When he's almost out of fuel, a Canadian pilot (played by John Travolta) makes contact and leads him down through the fog to a landing strip. And that's all I want to reveal of the plot. The film has a vaguely supernatural element to it, but it's more of a period drama than anything else. And... I thought it was okay. Rather longer than it needed to be, just barely short of the 40 minute mark that defines short films. But whatever. I don't feel like I would have missed much if I hadn't watched it, but it wasn't a bad way to spend 39 minutes, I guess.
