Polly is living in a post-apocalyptic world where most of humanity has died off, and she's all alone. Then one day Thea shows up. They have very different personalities; Thea is a no-nonsense survivalist, while Polly is more carefree. Thea starts training Polly, and they plan to travel to Vermont to look for a commune Thea has heard about. But they never actually begin the trip. I don't really know what to say without spoiling too much, but it's a darkly humorous short, and I enjoyed the dynamic between the two characters.
