This is mostly live-action, but the title character, a kitten named Freda, is CGI (as are some other critters). She talks, has some magic powers of her own, and flies on a broom, but she'll become a normal cat if she doesn't become a witch's familiar in the next two days. She applies for a job with a witch named Zoe, who sends her out to obtain some magical ingredients which Zoe could combine into a potion that would "cement" Freda as her familiar. There is a bit of a twist at the end of the film. I really don't want to say any more about the plot, but it's all very cute, and I wish it would become a series. The film is enjoyable enough on its own, but I really think it would work much better as a pilot, and I'd probably give a "Kitten Witch" series a higher rating than I did this film.
