The Bachelor's Skull (4:21)
IMDb; YouTube
This 2016 short film was presented by Crypt TV in 2020.
I only barely see this as "horror," but since I watched it on Crypt TV and it doesn't really fit any of my other categories of short film, I'll put my review here. It's interesting because it's very Gothic, and eventually becomes sort of steampunk. Also because Hannah Simone is in it (though somehow I failed to recognize her until after I saw her name in the end credits).
Anyway, a man wakes up alone in bed, and goes out looking for Emma, who one would presume to be his wife, but then one must wonder about "bachelor" in the title. He does finally find Emma, and the story takes a strange turn that I don't want to spoil. I couldn't manage to like the film all that much as a short, but I do think it could be pretty awesome as a feature. (Or at least as a longer short.)
