This 2017 fan film is, of course, based on the 1984 movie Gremlins. A truck driver stops at a diner. He is apparently delivering mogwai as pets, after a chemical treatment has eliminated the three rules from the original movie, thus rendering the creatures safe. However, after a waitress befriends a mogwai, and then feeds another one, it turns out the driver is actually on recall duty, collecting mogwai for which the treatment didn't work. So, of course, there's soon an outbreak of gremlins that the waitress and the driver will have to deal with.

Well, I thought the mogwai and gremlins looked pretty good. Not perfect, but definitely close to the originals. And... I dunno what to say. If I were judging the short strictly as a fan film, I'd have to say it's pretty great. But judging it more objectively, I think it's just good. (And there's nothing wrong with good.)
