This 2023 short film was presented by Alter in 2024.
A woman wakes up in a car in the middle of nowhere at night, with no memory of how she got there. There's a handcuffed man in the back seat with a sack over his head. In the glove compartment, the woman finds an audio recorder that has "Play Me" written on it. When she does play it, her own voice tells her some things that are hard to believe, but would explain why she has no memory. And the voice wants her to kill the man, without looking at his face, because seeing his face would make her forget everything again. The man himself claims to be her brother, and tells her she has a "condition".
I won't say how it ends, except that it's ambiguous. We're left unsure what to believe, which is quite troubling. The whole short is very tense and nerve-wracking, and it's easy to imagine how horrible it would be to find oneself in her position. And... I don't know what else to say.
