This is a Canadian short film, but it's set in Russia in 2014, and the dialogue is in Russian (with English subtitles). A teenager named Pyotr goes to someone's apartment to hook up with a guy he met on a dating app, I guess. It turns out to be a trap, and Pyotr ends up being tortured by a few homophobes, which is incredibly hard to watch. But they end up getting what's coming to them, in a way I don't want to spoil. The film is a powerful statement against homophobia in Russia, but it's something I fear could happen anywhere... without the real monsters getting their comeuppance, as they do in this film.
