This is the third movie in the "Twilight" Saga. It came out in 2010, but I didn't see it until 2022. I'm sure while I was watching it there were plenty of things I wanted to say about the plot, but by the end of the movie I'd forgotten most of them. I can say that I used to be "Team Jacob", but I didn't like him much at all in this movie, so now I'm not team anybody. (I mean, in general I'm "Team Respect Whatever Bella Decides for Herself", even if I think her choices don't make a ton of sense.)
Anyway, Victoria (now played by Bryce Dallas Howard) sires a new vampire named Riley Biers, to help her raise an army of vampires, to eventually attack the Cullen clan. Meanwhile, Edward wants to marry Bella. She doesn't feel ready for marriage yet, but she is eager to become a vampire, and Edward doesn't want her to do that. But he promises to turn her if they get married. She still declines, but later in the movie they do finally get engaged. Which of course upsets Jacob. (I couldn't help but think polyamory would be a good solution to the whole love triangle, but of course that's not gonna happen in this story.) I will say I liked a conversation Edward and Jacob had at one point.
Other than that, I can say that the Cullens and the werewolves team up to take on Victoria's army of vampires. And there's a group of Volturis, led by Jane, who are keeping tabs on the situation. They should intervene to stop the army, but they don't, for reasons of their own. Also, there's one new vampire who surrenders, and the Cullens grant her santuary, but the Volturis decide to kill her anyway, which pissed me off. And... I don't know what else to say about the plot. But there were things about the movie that I liked (such as stories about the past), and things I didn't really care for. I will say that whenever I look at one of my old reviews of these movies, I'm always a bit surprised I rated them as highly as I did, considering I can barely remember anything about the plots. All the things I like about them tend to fade from my memory, and that's already started happening with this one. But the important thing, I suppose, is that I kind of enjoy the movies while I'm watching them, even if I don't particularly care about them later on.
