Oasis are a British alternative rock band, formed in Manchester in 1991. They are considered one of the most successful Britpop bands of all time, though the band themselves hate the term "Britpop". The lead singer is Liam Gallagher, and the lead guitarist/songwriter (and de facto leader of the band) is his brother, Noel Gallagher.

This is the band's second (and best-selling) studio album, released in 1995. I'm not sure when I got it, but it must have been sometime in the '90s, probably not too long after it came out. I'm reviewing it in 2025. The liner notes contain song lyrics.
1. "Hello": Despite this, as far as I know, never being a single, I find it fairly memorable. And you know, a song called "Hello" is a good way to start an album, I guess.
2. "Roll with It": This was a single, but I didn't expect to remember it. However, upon listening to the CD now, I found it somewhat familiar.
3. "Wonderwall": This was the fourth single from the album. It's the song I (and probably most people) most strongly associate with the band, even if it's not my favorite. I do quite like it, though. (It's probably my third favorite Oasis song.) One of the things I remember about it, aside from the song itself, is Jake Fogelnest asking one time on Squirt TV, "What does a wonderwall wonder about?" which I think is a damn good question. I'm also vaguely a fan of the Mike Flowers Pops' cover of the song, because it's kind of amusing.
4. "Don't Look Back in Anger": This was the fifth single, and it's one of the songs I definitely remembered. I quite like it.
5. "Hey Now!": I guess this sounds familiar enough, despite never being a single. It's pretty good.
6. (This track doesn't have a title, and it's only 44 seconds long. And instrumental.)
7. "Some Might Say": This was the first single, and while I expected to remember it, I actually ended up remembering it even better than I thought I would. It's not one of my favorites, but I definitely like it.
8. "Cast No Shadow": I find this a bit more memorable than I expected to. It's good.
9. "She's Electric": Despite never being a single, this is probably my favorite Oasis song. And while some of the lyrics are kind of random, on the whole it's the best storytelling song. (And quite possibly the most Beatlesesque Oasis song.) Love it.
10. "Morning Glory": This was the third single, and one of the songs I knew I would remember. Though I think it's grungier than I remembered it being. It's definitely good.
11. (This track doesn't have a title, and it's only 39 seconds long.) The previous track flows directly into this one, and this flows directly into the final track. It's instrumental, with some sound effects.
12. "Champagne Supernova": This was the sixth single. It's the longest song on the album, at 7:27. I want to say it's my second favorite Oasis song, but really it's a close call between this and "She's Electric" being my favorite. It's rather psychedelic, and very cool. I have no idea what it's about, but neither does Noel Gallagher, who wrote it. Doesn't matter what it's about, anyway, it's still a great song.
Well, there's not a bad song on the album, and I guess there were no songs I ended up not remembering, which is definitely saying something. It is altogether one of the best alternative rock albums I've ever heard, and I was surprised upon re-listening to it 30 years after it came out to realize how little of it was actually pop.
