Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album Volume 2

This was released in 2011, but I didn't listen to it until 2021. It's the second of four Christmas albums from the TV series Glee, featuring eight songs from the season 3 episode Extraordinary Merry Christmas, as well as four songs that weren't in the episode. (The album excludes one song that was in the episode, "My Favorite Things".) For each song, I'll list the characters who sang it (taken from the liner notes). In addition to the regular cast, the album includes four finalists from "The Glee Project" (which I haven't seen). I'll include their real names (and for two of them, character names as well).
1. All I Want for Christmas Is You (Mercedes): This sounds a lot like the original by Mariah Carey, which is a good thing. But Mercedes's voice is different enough for the cover to stand on its own merits.
2. Extraordinary Merry Christmas (Blaine and Rachel): This is an original song. I like it; it works really well as a pop song and a Christmas song. But I'll probably never think of it when I'm not listening to it.
3. Santa Baby (Santana): This wasn't in the episode (it was cut for time). It's a very competent rendition. Probably as good as most other covers of the song.
4. Christmas Eve with You (Will and Emma): This is an original song, but it's not in the episode. It's nice, but I won't remember it.
5. Little Drummer Boy (Artie): This isn't in the episode. It's decent, like so decent that I don't even mind listening to it, in spite of it usually being an annoying song. Still, I prefer Pentatonix's version.
6. River (Rachel): I feel like this could be the first version of the song I ever heard, when the episode aired. I could be wrong, though. (Edit: I was wrong. I heard it at least as early as 2006.) I still haven't heard a lot of versions, but this is probably as good as any I've heard. But it's not one of my favorite songs.
7. Do You Hear What I Hear (Lindsay Pearce and Alex Newell): This wasn't in the episode. It's a shame, because it's a beautiful rendition.
8. Let It Snow (Blaine and Kurt): This is a nice, jazzy, fast-paced rendition. And it's a great duet. (Kurt and Blaine are always good together.)
9. Santa Claus is Coming to Town (Puck, Finn, and Samuel Larsen [Joe]): Wikipedia says that the musical arrangement is based on the one from Bruce Springsteen's version of the song, and I can hear that. I guess that's a good thing, even if these guys are not the Boss.
10. Christmas Wrapping (Brittany): This is a cover of what might be my favorite Christmas song ever, and Britt does an excellent job with it.
11. Blue Christmas (Damian McGinty [Rory]): It's a pretty decent cover.
12. Do They Know It's Christmas (Finn, Mercedes, Rachel, Kurt, Artie, Brittany, Puck, Tina, and Santana): I dare say it sounds better than the original (not that that's hard). But I'm not a fan of the song, because despite its good intentions, it gets its facts wrong and is therefore deeply (if unintentionally) condescending.
