Kristin Chenoweth: A Lovely Way To Spend Christmas
AllMusic; Amazon; Discogs; iTunes; official website; Wikipedia

This was released in 2008, though I could have sworn it was more recently than that. I don't remember when I first listened to it, but I'm doing so again in 2021 to write a review.

1. I'll Be Home for Christmas: Decent rendition.

2. Christmas Island: I'm not really familiar with this song, but it's cute.

3. The Christmas Waltz: I think I heard this before, but I'm not sure. Doesn't sound very waltzy to me. But it does have a nicely nostalgic feel to it.

4. Do You Hear What I Hear? ...This is a song I generally don't care much about, but the first time I listened to this album I thought it was my favorite rendition of it I've ever heard. The day I listened to it to write this review I also listened to an album by Jewel on which she did this song, and I liked her version, too. But I still think this is probably my favorite version.

5. Sleigh Ride/Marshmallow Winter: with John Pizzarelli. This is a nice jazzy number.

6. Sing: This is originally from Sesame Street, and several people have covered it since then, but I'm not really familiar with those versions. This one is okay, but I have no idea what it's doing on a Christmas album.

7. Silver Bells: Decent rendition, but not my favorite. (I'm not sure what my favorite version is. Maybe Doris Day?)

8. Come On Ring Those Bells: I am not at all familiar with this song. And I don't especially like it.

9. What Child Is This? ...Decent rendition, but not my favorite. (That would probably be Vanessa Williams.)

10. Home on Christmas Day: I'm not at all familiar with this. Maybe it's an original? It's not bad, but not something I'll find memorable.

11. Born on Christmas Day: I'm also unfamiliar with this song, and don't know if it's an original or not. I don't especially care for it.

12. Sleep Well Little Children/What a Wonderful World: I'm not familiar with the first part, but "What a Wonderful World" has always been one of my favorite songs. I just don't much care for it here. And I don't think it belongs on a Christmas album.

Wikipedia lists two more bonus songs, but I don't have them on this copy of the album. It's a shame, because one of them has the same title as the album, so I'd really like to hear that. And I can't find it on YouTube.

Anyway, I like the album well enough, I suppose.
