This came out in 1992. It's part of a series that benefits the Special Olympics.
1. "Christmas All Over Again", by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers: I guess this is an original. It's fairly fun.
2. "Jingle Bell Rock", by Randy Travis: Not my favorite version of the song, but it's still pretty good.
3. "The Christmas Song", by Luther Vandross: Not among my favorite versions, but it's not bad.
4. "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town", by Frank Sinatra/Cyndi Lauper: Not a pairing of artists that ever would have occurred to me to make. Ever. And I don't really feel like it works. Oddly, though I'm a bigger fan of Lauper than Sinatra, I think Sinatra's parts are better on this song.
5. "The Birth of Christ", by Boyz II Men: This is another original. I'm a fan of the group, but I can't manage to care about this song, I'm afraid.
6. "Please Come Home for Christmas", by Jon Bon Jovi: It's a decent rendition.
7. "What Christmas Means to Me", by Paul Young: I don't believe I'm familiar with the artist. But it's a decent rendition.
8. "O Christmas Tree", by Aretha Franklin: I've gotta respect her interpretation of the song, even if I didn't like it as much as I'd hoped I would. (But considering who the artist is, that was a pretty high bar.)
9. "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree", by Ronnie Spector/Darlene Love: Not my favorite rendition, but it's nice.
10. "White Christmas", by Michael Bolton: Yup, this sounds like Michael Bolton, alright. Make of that what you will.
11. "Christmas Is", by Run D.M.C.: Another original, and this one's pretty fun. It's a nice change of pace from the rest of the album.
12. "Christmas Time Again", by Extreme: Yet another original. I can't manage to care about it.
13. "Merry Christmas Baby", by Bonnie Raitt and Charles Brown: Brown is of course the original singer of this song. So he's good. And Raitt is also good. And they sound good together; they sound like they both belong on the same song, unlike some duets.
14. "O Holy Night", by Tevin Campbell: Certainly not my favorite rendition, but it's certainly good.
15. "Sleigh Ride", by Debbie Gibson: It's a reasonably fun rendition, even if I don't like it as much as her other work.
16. "What Child Is This?", by Vanessa Williams: This is the song I most associate with this album, because I remember seeing a music video for it when the album came out. And it's probably my favorite version of the song.
17. "Blue Christmas", by Ann & Nancy Wilson: The singers are familiar as part of the band Heart, which makes me wonder why it's just them with presumably other musicians playing the instruments. But anyway, it's a fairly decent rendition, though I still prefer Elvis Presley's version.
18. "Silent Night", by Wilson Phillips: They do their usual good job of harmonizing, but I prefer their other work. And this wouldn't be my favorite version of the song, even if it's probably worthy of special mention.
19. "I Believe In You", by Sinéad O'Connor: I'm not familiar with this song, but it was originally by Bob Dylan. I don't really like it, because it's got a "war on Christmas" vibe, and that is not a thing. Aside from that, I also find the song unmemorable.
