This reminds me of various movies, such as Groundhog Day (minus the suicide attempts), and Palm Springs, and a little bit of Edge of Tomorrow, and a TV movie I've heard of but haven't seen, called "Christmas Every Day". (That last one was based on the same short story as this movie, but I don't know how similar they actually are. Probably not very, beyond the basic premise.) Anyway, for awhile when I was watching it, I wasn't really enjoying it at all, and at one point I thought about just not finishing it. But I'm glad I did, because it got better as it went on.
There's a girl named Rowena, who has a terrible Christmas. Things keep going wrong that are not her fault, but for which she gets blamed. Later that day she meets "Tall Santa", and wishes for a do-over on the day. And Santa makes it happen. She relives the day countless times (we see a lot of them, but obviously not nearly all of them). For awhile she just spends her days doing whatever she wants, but eventually she uses her days to make things better for other people, and finally has the perfect Christmas with her family. It's all a lot more complicated than that, and there are a lot of characters I could mention, but I only feel like explaining the basic premise, which I've done now. Anyway... despite being somewhat boring at first, it turned out to be a fairly fun and touching movie. And I really liked the ending.
