Rhea is a 15-year-old Indian-American girl who works as a server in her family's restaurant, where she makes playlists for music to play while working. Her younger brother, father, and grandmother also work there. (Her mother died when she was 8.) Rhea is also a computer coder in a club at school with her friends Molly and Watson. They also have a friend named Ginger, who is a social media influencer. One day Rhea meets a British boy named Max, who has recently transferred to her school. He begins teaching her to make DJ mixes and spin records, and it seems as if romance might blossom between them. She gets Max a gig at the upcoming Festival of Colors fundraiser, and after that event, their relationship changes in a way I won't spoil. I'll just say that they end up competing against each other at a DJ contest called "Battle of the Beatmasters". And I won't spoil who wins.

Well, I'm leaving out countless details of the movie. But I must say, I thought it was a really good story, with really good characters. And... that's all I can think to say.
