This is the 2022 sequel to the 2021 movie Under Wraps, which itself was a remake of a 1997 movie of the same name. I think I liked this a bit better than the 2021 movie, perhaps because I wasn't comparing it to the original 1997 movie. Anyway, Amy's "pop", Mike, is marrying a guy named Carl, which is weird because in the previous movie I thought the two of them (who were mentioned but we never met) were already married. But whatever. Amy is in charge of planning a party for them the night before the wedding (the actual ceremony is on Halloween, and the party is Halloween-themed). Unfortunately, a mummy named Sobek comes to life and wants to get revenge against Harold, the mummy from the first movie, because he was in love with the same woman (now another mummy) as Harold, and wants to spend eternity with her. Amy, Marshall, and Gilbert find out about this, and wake up Harold and his beloved, whom they call Rose, to try to protect them from Sobek. They get help from Buzzy, who is their chaperone on the trip to Amy's hometown, where Mike and Carl are getting married. And Sobek hypnotizes a guy named Larry to be his servant. There's also a subplot about Marshall being jealous of how much time Gilbert and Amy have been spending together ever since they started working at the school newspaper. And it seems like there's a sort of parallel between that issue and the fact that Harold and Sobek were best friends, before they both fell in love with the same woman. (Though the romance angle doesn't factor into the kids' friendship issue.) There's also a sweet scene where Harold and Rose exchange rings at the end, at the same time as Mike and Carl. And I don't know what else to say. It wasn't a great movie, but it was okay, I guess.
