Not a bad series, I guess. There was a policeman named Michael Long (David Hasselhoff), who was nearly killed, and declared dead to the world. Then he started a new life as Michael Knight, who secretly worked for the Foundation for Law and Government (FLAG), a crimefighting branch of Knight Industries. (I'm including my review under "action" instead of "legal dramas," because I'm pretty sure Knight Industries didn't have any official sanction to do this kind of stuff.) Anyway, FLAG provided Michael with this car called K.I.T.T. (Knight Industries Two Thousand), which could talk (voiced by William Daniels, who I'd later see in Boy Meets World). It was a cool black Trans-Am with this cool red light in front that moved back and forth. (Hey, it was the 80s, and I was a little kid.) It also had artificial intelligence, and could be rather sarcastic. And it had some other features, such as being very fast and impervious to most weaponry, and stuff. Oh, and of course it could drive itself. Anyway, there were a couple of people Michael and KITT worked with on their missions.

I'm afraid I don't remember the show that well, and probably didn't completely understand everything that was going on even back when I was watching it, being so young. Or maybe I did, I dunno. Anyway, it was okay, at least I remember liking it well enough. (Some of the info I've mentioned here I got from Wikipedia.) There were also a couple of TV movies or something, but I don't think I ever saw them. Um... I also feel like mentioning that when I was a kid, I had a black cat who I named Kitt, after the car.

Well, I wish I could remember more about the show, maybe I should see it again someday. Meanwhile, in 2008 there was another TV movie, which led to a new series. I thought the movie was okay, but didn't bother with the series.
