Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, on ABC & UPN

This series follows the direct-to-video movie Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins. (All the voices are the same, except Buzz, who is now voiced by Patrick Warburton). Of course, the character was originally introduced in the movie Toy Story, but the character within those movies was just a toy, based on a fictional sci-fi cartoon-within-the-movie. More or less. So this series... is, in theory, what the kid in the movie would have watched. Which is to say, the character here is either more real or less real than the toy in the movie, depending on your point of view. I guess. But at any rate, the show's not treated as a show, or anything. It's treated as real. Hmmm, very meta.
Anyway... I thought this show was fairly funny and cool. Buzz Lightyear is a space ranger, with a team that includes Booster Munchapper, Mira Nova, and a robot named XR. (I want to mention that their rocket's number is 42, which happens to be my favorite number.) They face a number of enemies, but the main one is Evil Emperor Zurg. Um... I really don't know what else to say, except it's definitely a fun show. I should try to watch it again someday, maybe I could think of more to say....
