This show kinda reminds me of Adventure Time, in that it's pretty simply-drawn and retro and weird and random and funny in a similar way. Also episodes are 15 minutes long. But it's more risqué than Adventure Time. I dunno, it's kinda childish, but the main characters are older, I think. Like teenagers or something. There's a blue jay named Mordecai and a raccoon named Rigby, who are groundskeepers at a park. They work for a guy named Benson, who is an anthropomorphic gumball machine. There's also a guy named Pops, who is an anthropomorphic lollipop. I think Pops owns the park or something, but he's sort of... it seems like a cross between senility and arrested development, or something. So he's pretty useless, which is why Benson runs the park. There's also a gorilla named Skips, and some other odd characters who all work at the park.
Anyway, Mordecai and Rigby are always getting in trouble, and they hate their jobs. And whatever they're doing- working or avoiding work- it always leads to crazy stuff happening, tons of damages and danger and whatnot. It's all really random and stupid, and it seems like it's aimed at kids, though there's definitely stuff like some of the language that seems... well, the show seems like something that would've been on when I was a little kid in the 80s, or even before my time, in the 70s, but there's also some stuff that I'm sure never would've been allowed on a show for kids back then. (Hell, some of it wouldn't be allowed on most kids' shows even now, even if it's tamer than the stuff on adult cartoons like South Park or Family Guy.) Anyway, I dunno what to say. I don't know much about the show so far. I like it, but I'm not sure how long it'll hold my interest. I do think it's a good fit as part of a half-hour block with Adventure Time, though....
