Also known as "Superman: The Animated Series," and later included as part of "The New Batman-Superman Adventures." This was a pretty good version of Superman, though not as good as Batman. (Which is because Batman is just plain cooler to begin with.) Well, a much lighter show than Batman, of course; not that it couldn't have its own kind of darkness, especially in stories involving Darkseid. Anyway, Clark Kent is a mild mannered reporter for Metropolis's Daily Planet, raised in Kansas; loves Lois Lane, friends with Jimmy Olsen. Strange visitor from another planet; hardcore believer in truth, justice, and the American Way. Super powers, fights evil. You know the story. It's a fun show, funny, decent stories, and all that. I wish I could think of more to say.... Well, maybe after I get the DVDs someday I'll say more.
Oh... but I do want to mention that I... guess I haven't seen all the episodes. Which I might not mention, except that three episodes from season two ("World's Finest parts 1-3," which first aired in 1997) were later released on DVD as "The Batman/Superman Movie," in 2002. And I remember watching the movie by that title on TV, at some point, but I'm pretty sure I had no idea at the time that the "movie" was actually three old episodes of the series. (Then again, maybe I did know, and I've just forgotten knowing.) In 2013, I finally bought the movie on DVD, and then found out it was made up of these episodes... which are also available on the DVDs of the series, which I still plan on getting eventually. So I feel like I wasted my money on the DVD (even if it was only $5). Also, at the same time I bought this "movie," I saw another movie at the store, "The Last Son of Krypton," which I have no recollection of having seen before, even though it was released in 2004. And that isn't a movie, either: it's the first three episodes of the series, which first aired in 1996. So I'm glad I didn't buy it.
