Of course, I haven't watched this in years, but I used to quite like it (in retrospect, I love it). It ran from 1983-2006, most of which I never saw. (But I think the streaming links above are mostly if not entirely from later seasons that I never saw.) It was hosted by Levar Burton. It's supposed to teach kids to enjoy reading, though I personally never needed any special enticement. I've always thought that reading is one of the greatest things in the world. But anyway, it's a really important show for kids to watch. But you don't have to take my word for it.... (Just check some links, okay?)

I dunno what to tell you. There was always at least one short book that got read to the viewers (by a celebrity narrator), as well as real kids giving their own little reviews of books they'd read, and LeVar did various stuff, went different places to... talk to people about stuff... I don't really remember it that well. But I do remember the theme song quite fondly (though it was replaced in later years, after I stopped watching). Oh, and there was one animated segment I particularly remember from one episode, Conan the Librarian.
