So, originally having a section for animated TV movies wasn't part of my plan. Those generally would have gone in the special presentations section. I was never entirely comfortable with that, and eventually I decided to move some of them to the TV movies section, but even then there wasn't a subsection specifically for animated movies. Finally I decided I really kind of need this subsection, but some of the movies I list here will still also be listed under other subsections, such as DCOMs. Meanwhile, some things that might be considered more "TV movie" than "special" may still be in the specials section rather than here. Generally I will try to include here anything that's more than an hour long, with things that are an hour or less in the specials section. But I may not always follow that rule of thumb, I'm just not sure. It's not really important, anyway. Another rule of thumb, which will sometimes conflict with the first one, is that I'll probably usually put special episodes of animated series in the specials section rather than here, but there will be some cases where I don't do that... especially if the special in question is more than an hour. So, whatever.
I'll also provide links here to some reviews I have in my animated films section. Things that mostly were direct to DVD (or direct to video), but which aired on TV within a few months after that. There are various such things that I've often been unsure about whether to call feature films or TV movies, but if I'm sure they were on DVD before they were on TV, I consider them features. However, there may be some that actually aired on TV shortly before being released on DVD. So I should really call those TV movies, but... meh, it's complicated. And some of the things I list here might not have aired on TV until at year or so after they were released on DVD or video. And there are probably some things I list in the animated films section that I don't list here, but which some people might still think of as TV movies, if they happened to see them on TV and not on video. (Such as the Futurama movies that later became season five of that series when it moved to Comedy Central.) But whatevs, none of this is really important. I'm just doing my best to give myself a tiny bit of peace of mind, for things I personally saw on TV rather than video. I'll never have complete peace of mind, so... whatever. (I say whatever a lot.)
