I don't remember this well enough to rate it.
The Diaries of Adam and Eve, on PBS
IMDb
Okay, I watched this years ago (probably when it first aired in 1989, but I'm not sure), and I don't remember it well. Apparently it was an installment of the series "American Playhouse," though I don't recall that. I guess it's based on a short story by Mark Twain, which I also don't recall being aware of, but it's possible I may have been, at the time. I dunno. It starred Meredith Baxter (whom I knew from Family Ties) and David Birney (from whom Baxter got a divorce somewhere around the time this aired). Anyway, here's what I wrote about it several years ago, on an old page, though it must have been several years after I watched it:
Mildly amusing, but also kind of annoying. Just a two person play, with Adam and Eve each reading entries from their diaries, in which they kept records of their relationship with each other. A fairly standard exploration of the stereotypical differences between men and women, or something. And you know, I'm generally against stereotypes of any kind, which is why this can be so annoying. But aside from such things, it's rather interesting, I guess.
