I don't remember this well enough to rate it.

Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer, on CBS
IMDb; Thrilling Detective; TV Tango; TV Tropes; Wikipedia

This began with a TV movie in 1983, followed by two seasons from 1984-85, another TV movie in 1986, a third season (retitled "The New Mike Hammer") in 1986-87, and a third TV movie in 1989. Anyway, Mickey Spillane wrote novels about a private eye named Mike Hammer (Stacy Keach). I never read any of the books. I probably didn't see very much of the series, either, and I don't remember any details of it. But I'm fairly sure I liked whatever little bit I saw of it, so it's slightly nostalgic to me. And I might like to see it again, someday.

In 1997, there was a single season of a revival series called "Mike Hammer, Private Eye," which aired in syndication. I'm pretty sure I never saw any of that, and I'm not sure whether or not it's set within the same continuity as the earlier series, or if it's a total reboot. I should also mention that before any of this, there was a syndicated series in 1958-59 (also called "Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer"), starring Darren McGavin, which I definitely didn't see any of.
