This lasted for less than 10 episodes, in 1990-91. It starred Edward Woodward and Jessica Lundy (whom I think I'd previously seen in an episode of Northern Exposure). Woodward played an aging mystery novelist named Maxwell Beckett, who teamed up with a reporter named Nikki Page (Lundy) to solve real crimes. I don't remember it very well at all, but I'm sure I enjoyed it at the time, and I'd be happy to see it again someday. Which, sadly, will probably never happen.
