Fox Kids, on FOX / Fox Family Channel
TV IV; TV Tropes; Wikipedia

This block began in September 1990 under the name "Fox Children's Network," though it wasn't a separate network; it aired Saturday mornings and weekday afternoons on FOX. In 1991, it was renamed "Fox Kids Network" (or simply Fox Kids). When Kids' WB debuted in 1995, some Fox Kids shows began airing in that block. Starting in 1998, when The Family Channel became Fox Family Channel, some Fox Kids shows would begin airing on that network, as well. (I guess Fox Kids continued airing on that network even after it became ABC Family in 2001. It wasn't until 2004 that ABC Family renamed the block Jetix.) Also in 2001, Fox Kids ceased airing weekdays, now airing only on Saturday mornings. In 2002, Fox sold its Saturday morning time to 4Kids Entertainment, which renamed the block the "FoxBox." In 2005, FoxBox was renamed 4Kids TV. In May 2008, 4Kids started a second block, on the CW; its block on Fox ended in December 2008.

For a complete listing of shows that aired on Fox Kids, check one of the links above. Here I'm just going to mention shows I watched at least a bit of. There were a ton of shows on the block that I never got to see (and some in which I simply had no interest).

Shows premering between 1990 and 1994:
So... I didn't have regular access to FOX until the fall of 1995, because that network (like ABC and NBC) weren't available in my area unless you got cable or satellite, and even now, in the 21st century, cable isn't available on the street where I grew up. So I probably started watching some things when I went to college in 95, and a couple years later, my parents got satellite at their house. However, I did see some Fox Kids programming at a friend's house, prior to that. (Cable had become available in parts of my hometown in the early 90s, including the part where he lived.) I'm fairly sure I saw a tiny bit of "Bobby's World" (1990-98), enough that if I hear the name of the show now, I immediately hear Howie Mandel doing his squeaky little voice in my head. But I don't remember anything specific about the show, except that I probably didn't care for it. And I saw some of "Taz-Mania" (1991-95), which was okay, but not something I was wild about. Batman: The Animated Series (1992-95) originally aired on Fox Kids, but repeats began airing on Kids' WB in 1997 (in "The New Batman/Superman Adventures"), and on Cartoon Network in 1998. I'm actually not sure if I first saw it on Fox (possibly when I started college) or one of the other networks, though it might be possible I saw it earlier than that on a Canadian channel that came in fuzzy at my house. I wish I could remember, but it's not really important. I know I saw a bit of "Eek! the Cat" (1992-97) at my friend's house, but I didn't like it that much. At some point I saw a bit of "Tiny Toon Adventures" (1990-92; first two seasons aired in syndication, third on Fox Kids), but maybe not until it reran later on Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network. Same goes for Animaniacs (1993-98; seasons 3-5 debuted on Kids' WB). I'm sure I saw a bit of the live-action series "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" (1993-95) at my friend's house, but I never really cared about it (or any of its many spin-offs). I definitely watched The Tick (1994-96), but that may not have been until the second season, when I was in college. (I saw most or all of the episodes later in reruns.)

1995-2001
Aside from "The Tick" and "Batman: TAS," I probably didn't watch much on Fox Kids even after I gained access to it in 1995, mainly because I was too old for most of the shows on the block. Or maybe I was watching stuff on other channels, I really don't remember. (Note: there's no such thing as "too old for kids' shows." It just sounds kinder than saying "I wasn't interested in that junk," which would be more accurate, since there are plenty of kids' shows that aren't junk, and which do interest me.)

Anyway, in 1997, Fox Kids began reruns of the NBC live-action series Eerie, Indiana (1991-92), which I didn't have a chance to see in its original run, but probably watched at least a bit of when it came to Fox. Some things I might have seen at least a little bit of included the live-action series "The Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog" (1998-99, though I all I remember about it is the title), "Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot" (1999-2001), the anime "Digimon" (2000-01, though it may not have been until later that I saw that, possibly on Jetix), the anime "Escaflowne" (2000-01), the anime "Monster Rancher" (2000), and "Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century" (1999-2000). I definitely watched some of Angela Anaconda (2000, on Fox Family), the anime Flint the Time Detective (2000-01), the live-action series "Los Luchadores" (2001-02), the anime "Medabots" (2001-02), the anime Mon Colle Knights (2001-02), and the live-action series The Zack Files (2001, on Fox Family).
