Super Sunday (but not really)

Technically, this wasn't a block, it was just a an "animated anthology" series, which aired like three or four segments (Jem, Bigfoot, Robotix, and Inhumanoids) in a half hour. I have moved the entry for that series to its own page, but I wanted to keep this page here in the programming blocks section, as well. For reasons.

Here's the thing: I didn't remember Super Sunday being just one show, made up of short segments. I remembered watching each of the shows on Sunday mornings, I think on a Canadian channel that didn't come in very well. But I thought of them more as a block of shows. Now, I also remembered watching other shows on that channel on Sunday mornings, which weren't part of Super Sunday at all. But when I was working on this section of my site, many many years later, I didn't remember them not being part of the same block. (Or indeed, they could have been; I mean, it could be that there was a block that included Super Sunday and other shows. Or... not. This is one of the reasons I wish I had a time machine, so I could go back and rediscover things I've forgotten about my past. But I digress.)

I'm pretty sure I watched Transformers (1984-87) on that channel on Sunday mornings, around the same time as "Super Sunday." (It was coproduced by Marvel and Sunbow, just like "Super Sunday," but then again, they also coproduced lots of series that I never saw, and some I'm fairly sure I must have seen syndicated on other channels.) Another show I'm pretty sure I saw on the fuzzy channel on Sunday mornings was "Popples" (1986-87). Other shows I might (or might not) have seen on that channel include probably several cartoons to be found on my cartoon nostalgia page, such as "The Alvin Show" (1961-62), "The Care Bears" (1985-88), "The Marvel Super Heroes" (1966), "The New Adventures of Pinocchio" (1960-61), "Pac-Man" (1982-83), and "Tales of the Wizard of Oz" (1961). Anyway... I wish I had a better memory. I wish I remembered for sure which channel and day of the week (even which years) I watched all these different shows. If there was a block, I wish I remembered its name. But the important thing is, I just had to mention somewhere that I vaguely recall watching various cartoons on Sunday mornings. Probably.
