Reba McEntire plays Reba Hart, who divorces her husband Brock, who marries this woman Barbara Jean (who's pretty annoying). And Reba's daughter Cheyenne (JoAnna Garcia) got pregnant while in high school, and married her boyfriend Van Montgomery, and they eventually had a baby daughter named Elizabeth. Reba's youngest kid with Brock is a boy named Jake. The middle child is Kyra (Scarlett Pomers). She's my favorite character on the show. Anyway, Barbara Jean and Brock live nearby, and show up a lot. Barbara Jean thinks she and Reba are friends, though Reba can hardly stand her, and not just because she stole her husband. Mostly I think it's because, as I said earlier, she's annoying. Anyway, she and Brock eventually have a baby of their own, Henry.
I'm not really sure what else to say. My sister always watched it when it was originally on the WB, and then continued constantly watching reruns on Lifetime (and later, whatever cable channel it was rerunning on). I never paid much attention to it originally, but over time I did develop a bit better appreciation for it. I always liked Reba McEntire as a singer, and she's good as an actress here, too. And as I said, Kyra is my favorite character, really very funny and sarcastic. And eventually I came to find Van pretty funny, himself. As for the other characters... for the most part I don't really care for them, but of course they're integral to the show, and the ones I like need them to play off of. So whatevs, the show is okay. But I can't say any more about the plot, or anything. Oh, but in season one, Park Overall had a recurring role as Reba's best friend.
