This aired November 30, 2015, a little over a week before the 50th anniversary of A Charlie Brown Christmas (which first aired December 9, 1965). However, I didn't watch the special until December 24. (I watched it on the DVR in the morning, though it reran on TV that night.) Anyway... it's not really a special, but a documentary, and not even all that Christmasy. It was an hour long, and I felt it would have been better if it had been half that length. It had a bunch of stuff that wasn't about the Christmas special, but about other things involving Charlie Brown. Which is all well and good, but I just don't feel like it fit with the reason the documentary was made. If it had focused just on the Christmas special, I would have liked it more, and probably given it a higher rating.

Anyway, it was hosted by Kristen Bell, so that was nice. And it had good guests, including Sarah McLachlan, Matthew Morrison, Boyz II Men, Kristin Chenoweth, and Pentatonix. And... I don't know what else to say. I liked some bits, and other bits I just thought were "meh." Still, I guess I'm glad to have seen it.
