A crossover between Kids Next Door and The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy. I don't remember this one so good, but it was okay I guess. I should see it again someday and write up a proper review.

Caution: potential spoilers.

This is the Grand Finale of the series. (I forget what the acronym stands for, I'll catch it in the rerun though.) It's kind of weird, as the story is framed by interviews of Numbuhs 2, 3, 4, and 5 as adults... and they're played by live actors, rather than animated. We don't see the person interviewing them, only hear his questions. But they all tell the story of their final mission... or at least I thought it was going to be their final mission before they were all decommissioned, but it wasn't. It was merely their final mission with Numbuh One (who is conspicuously absent from the interviews. In any event, Numbuhs 2-5 have all been temporarily recommissioned so that they could remember this event and tell the story... which is, of course, animated.

Sector V was once again trying to steal the Delightful Children's birthday cake. Which makes me wonder, if they keep having birthdays, how come none of the kids on the show ever seem to age? But anyway, Numbuh 362 takes them off the mission, since they always end up destroying the cake. She gives the mission to her little brother, Numbuh 363, who is now the head of Sector W. Numbuh One is particularly upset about this, and of course no one from Sector V is happy about it. But when they get back to their treehouse, they find Father there, filming a movie about the Delightful Children eating their cake. But the cake turns out to have been taken by Numbuh 74.329, who invites the Delightful Children, as well as the KND and various villains to take part in a scavenger hunt, with lots of hard to obtain items worth varying points. And whoever has the most points in the end will be given the cake.

So anyway, most of the story is about the scavenger hunt, and how Sector V is constantly in last place. Of course the whole thing is commentated upon by Nick and Chip, who always cover events like this. In the end, of course, Numbuh One wins, but it turns out to be about something far more important than cake. I really don't want to give away the ending, but I gotta say I thought it was kind of biting on the Green Lantern Corps. In any event, we learn what becomes of Numbuh One, and why he wasn't involved in the interviews. As for that... I suspected all along that the interviews were being done to obtain secret information from the former operatives of Sector V. And of course I was right. But while they all seemed kind of old (or at least middle aged), I thought it was interesting that when the interviewer's true identity was revealed, he didn't seem older, himself. Then again, it's kind of hard to tell, with him....

In any event, while some questions were answered (and one thing that seemed wrong from the start of the interviews was neatly cleared up by the end), it all left me with lots of new questions. But I won't go into any of that, except to say I thought it was weird that Lizzie wasn't even mentioned in the special... unless she and Nigel broke up in an earlier episode I didn't see, or something.... (Actually, maybe she broke up with him in an episode I did see, and I just forgot that it ended that way. Whatever). Anyway, that's all I can think to say for now. Doubtless I'm forgetting lots of things. But it was fairly decent, anyway.....
