Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, on NBC
IMDb; Macy's; NBC; Other Holiday Specials Wiki; TV Tango; TV Tropes; Wikia; Wikipedia

An annual parade sponsored by Macy's department store, taking place in New York City every Thanksgiving Day since 1924. There's giant balloons, and floats, and bands, and all sorts of performers, and commentators, and Santa Claus shows up at the end. So it's basically the semi-official start of America's countdown to Christmas. The whole thing is hugely iconic, and for some people, Thanksgiving would not be complete without watching the parade. I'm not one of those people. I hardly watch it at all, but it is sort of comforting to know that it's on.
