My Past Is My Own, on CBS

This was a CBS Schoolbreak Special, one of the few installments I can really remember, even vaguely. One of the main reasons I remember it is because Whoopi Goldberg was in it, and I was a fan of hers for her role on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Here, she played Mariah Johnston, a relative of a couple of teenagers named Justin and Kerry Cook. The kids had never experienced racism, I guess, so they didn't appreciate the work people like Mariah had done during the civil rights movement of the 1960s. And somehow, the two of them ended up being transported back in time to that era, where they took part in a sit-in at a segregated lunch counter. I don't remember the story clearly at all, but I do think I appreciated it. It might be nice to see it again, someday.
