The Powerpuff Girls: 'Twas the Fight Before Christmas, on Cartoon Network
Christmas Specials Wiki; IMDb; Powerpuff Girls Wiki; TV.com
Well, this was pretty cool if you're a fan of The Powerpuff Girls. It involves one of their recurring enemies, Princess Morbucks, who is rich and spoiled and wants to be a Powerpuff Girl. That's the only thing she's asked Santa for this Christmas, but the PPGs tell her she won't get anything but coal, because she's naughty. Which she doesn't believe, because... she thinks she's better than everyone, so it's impossible for her to be naughty, I guess. But anyway, she sneaks into Santa's workshop, finds she's the only one on the naughty list, every other kid in the world is on the nice list (including Mitch Mitchelson, which I find unlikely), and... she switches the titles of the lists.
So, Christmas morning, sometime well before dawn, Bubbles hears Santa, and goes downstairs to look for her presents. She finds nothing under the tree, milk and cookies uneaten, and coal in her stocking, as well as her sisters' stockings. So she flies around town using her x-ray vision to look in other kids' stockings, and they all have coal. So, she goes back home, wakes up Blossom and Buttercup, tells them what's going on, and they all decide to go tell Santa he's made a mistake. But Princess confronts them, and she now has superpowers of her own, given to her by Santa. She says she'll go to the North Pole and warn Santa that the three of them are coming to destroy his workshop and everything, before they can tell him anything. So there's a cool chase/fight scene as the four girls race to the North Pole.
And I guess that's all I'll say, don't want to spoil the ending. It's not exactly surprising or anything, but whatever. It was a pretty good story, lots of fun for PPG fans. And even if you've never seen the series, you'd probably enjoy it, anyway....
