"The Ed Sullivan Show" was a variety show that aired from 1948 to 1971, which is before my time. However, in 1991, there were a couple of specials I saw (I'm assuming I saw them when the originally aired, but I may have seen them on reruns). I don't remember if I was aware of the show before the specials or not. And I don't remember the specials clearly, but I remember liking them, and kind of wishing I'd been around to see the actual show. Or maybe if I had a time machine, I could go back to watch specific episodes, possibly get into the audience, to see the Beatles or something. Seriously... the Ed Sullivan Show seems like it was pretty awesome. Of course, now I could watch full episodes online, if I felt like it, instead of just the clips that were in these retrospectives. But... I'm probably too busy with the present to worry about the distant past....
