Intro: Naturally, this year's episode starts with ancient Maya predicting the end of the world in 2012... and then flashing forward to the present, in which the world is destroyed by Mayan gods. It wasn't bad.
The Greatest Story Ever Holed: A new supercollider creates a black hole that ends up swallowing everything in Springfield. It was kinda fun.
UNnormal Activity: In a parody of Paranormal Activity, Homer films everything that happens in the house, to catch evidence of paranormal activity. I don't want to spoil the revelation of why all the strange things were happening.
Bart and Homer's Excellent Adventure: In a parody of Back to the Future, Bart goes back in time to buy an expensive comic book for its original price, and ends up preventing Homer and Marge from ever getting together. So she's married to someone else in the future. (I won't say who, but it makes sense based on a much earlier flashback episode of The Simpsons.) Anyway, it was an alright segment.
In my old review, I said this was probably the best Treehouse of Horror I'd seen in years. Rewatching it in 2020, I didn't like it as much as I originally did. But at least it was way better than 2011's Treehouse.
