Treehouse of Horror XXXIV (Season 35; Nov. 5, 2023)

Wild Barts Can't Be Token: Bart gets digitized and becomes an NFT. Marge digitizes herself to bring him back to the real world. Then they story turns into a parody of... I'd call it a mashup of Snowpiercer and Free Guy. I guess the segment was okay, but nothing special.
Ei8ht: It starts in 1993, with Sideshow Bob killing Bart. The story then flashes forward to 2023, when adult Lisa is a well-renowned professor and criminal profiler. When people start getting killed, Lisa helps Nelson, who is now a police officer, investigate. The segment's title is obviously a parody of Se7en, but otherwise the story could be influenced by various other movies, without sticking too close to any of the plots. She goes to Sideshow Bob for help, but that's not enough for me to consider the segment a parody of Silence of the Lambs, or anything. Anyway, there's a twist ending that I guess is kind of neat, but it's still not a particularly memorable installment of Treehouse.
Lout Break: After Homer eats a radioactive doughnut, his burps turn people into Homerized versions of themselves. I didn't really care for it.
So all in all, this was the most disappointing Treehouse of Horror I've seen in years. Which is saying something. Also, there's no intro, and no Kang & Kodos.
