½:
The Daily Show, Comedy Central, Mon-Thu 11pm
IMDb; official site; TV.com; Wikipedia
Originally hosted by Craig Kilborn, who was pretty funny, but sometimes perhaps just a wee bit annoying and, you know, smarmy. (He later got his own talk show on CBS, The Late Late Show.) Currently, "The Daily Show" is hosted by Jon Stewart, who I find funnier than Craig Kilborn, and not annoying. Of course, he's hosted it for alot longer than Kilborn did, and is very much identified with the show, to the point that some might forget he wasn't the original host.
Anyway, this is the best show for learning about what's going on in the world, unless of course you actually want to, like, watch the news or something. But why the hell would you wanna do that? Anyway, this show is terribly funny. Also they get good guests on there. And they have good segments done by the other people who work on the show, who are also quite funny. I dunno what else to say, but um... it's just really good and you absolutely have to watch it. Y'know, not necessarily on a daily basis, or anything. But sometimes.
I should also say that one of the correspondents, Stephen Colbert, has spun off his own series, The Colbert Report.
