Donahue (aka The Phil Donahue Show), syndicated
IMDb; TV.com; Wikipedia

This was a daytime talk show that started years before I was born, and ran until 1996. I'm sure I must have watched it for years, when I was a kid. It was hosted by Phil Donahue, and it basically paved the way for many other daytime talk shows, with a panel of guests and large studio audiences. Entertainment could be discussed, but so could serious social issues. I can't really think of anything else to say, except that the majority of shows that this show inspired (which ultimately led to Donahue's own decline in popularity) are shows that never interested me. Imitators tended to be more crass, sensationalistic and, IMO, annoying. But This was definitely a decent show, and rather nostalgic for me, now.
