The Ben Stiller Show, FOX
Amazon; CW Seed; IFC; IMDb; Sitcoms Online; TV.com; TV Tango; TV Tropes; WB Shop; Wikipedia
So, I guess this was a sequel to a show of the same name that aired on MTV. Both aired in the early 90s, before I got cable, so I never had a chance to see either version. (And where I lived, if you didn't get cable, you didn't get FOX, ABC, or NBC.) It's a short-lived sketch comedy show featuring some people I later came to like in other things. Aside from Stiller, there was Janeane Garofalo, Andy Dick, and Bob Odenkirk (the latter of whom I don't really know, but he's done other stuff I want to see, too). So it seems like a show I should check out someday.
A Bit of Fry & Laurie, BBC (UK)
Amazon; BBC; BritBox; Hulu; IMDb; TV.com; TV Tropes; Wikipedia
A sketch comedy show starring Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie, both of whom I've enjoyed in other things. I'm sure I must have seen a bit of it at some point, but I don't really remember anything specific about it. And I certainly never saw much of it, anyway.
The Carol Burnett Show, CBS
IMDb; MeTV; Peacock; Retro Junk; TV.com; TV Tango; TV Tropes; Wikipedia
This sketch comedy show ran from 1967-78, so it was a bit before my time (I was born in 1975). But I was a fan of the unrelated 1990-91 series Carol & Company. Anyway, I have no idea if I'd even like The Carol Burnett Show, but it's a classic, so I'd really like to at least check it out, someday.
Mr. Show with Bob and David, HBO
Amazon; A.V. Club; HBO Shop; IMDb; Max; Retro Junk; TV Tango; TV Tropes; Wikipedia
A sketch comedy show featuring Bob Odenkirk (whom I don't think I know from anything except one episode of Space Ghost Coast to Coat) and David Cross (whom I mainly know from Arrested Development). Plus lots of other funny people, some of whom I know from other stuff, and some I don't. Not having had access to HBO, I never got to see this, but I was probably vaguely aware of it, and I guess it was really popular. So it seems like something I might want to check out someday.
Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In, NBC
IMDb; TV.com; TV Tango; TV Tropes; Wikipedia
A sketch comedy show from the late 60s and early 70s, so it's before my time. But it's something I've long had some interest in, because I'm familiar with some of the cast members, mainly Goldie Hawn and Henry Gibson, and some others with whom I feel I should be familiar. Anyway, I'm sure I've seen a little bit of the show, somehow or other.
The Tracey Ullman Show, FOX
IMDb; Retro Junk; TV.com; TV Tango; Wikipedia
When this aired in the late 80s, I didn't have access to FOX, so I never had the chance to see it. But I've always kind of wanted to, since I do like Tracey Ullman and of course because the show is famous for launching The Simpsons.
