A British comedy consisting of several 10-minute episodes, which in spite of being live-action, I watched on Cartoon Network's adult swim block. It's kind of a parody of the sort of science shows that are made specifically to be shown in schools... but pretty much everything the narrator says is wrong (though even when it isn't, it's still ridiculous). Yeah, um... so, there's a narrator. And we see people doing experiments or whatever, though usually no one talks except the unseen narrator. Sometimes it's just funny because it's wrong, and sometimes it's totally "WTF?!" There's not much else to say, really. It's just weird, but hilarious. Ah yes, of course each episode has a specific subject of study... some of which seem perfectly natural for a serious educational show, and some of which are just ridiculous. But everything is presented so matter-of-factly... which is, of course, part of what makes it so funny.

...And then there was a second series which is a half hour instead of a quarter hour per episode, and it was pretty much completely different from the first series. There were several hosts, all of whom talked, and they didn't do science experiments per se. And there might be a few different themes per episode, albeit with one overarching thing. I dunno. But there were these ridiculous inventions presented each week, and in the series finale they gave an award to one of them for "invention of the year," in a supposedly live episode, with technical difficulties and whatnot. It was great. In the beginning, I didn't like the second series as much as the first, but I thought it got better every week. Still not sure I liked it as much as the first, but it had its own kind of charm about it, I guess. And I don't know what else to say.
