Well, some sites threat this like the second season of Tales of the Jedi, but most treat it as a sequel series, and that's how I think of it. Both series are meant to be anthologies, but I barely saw the first one as such, and even less so this one.
The series is broken into two sets of three episodes each, the first arc following Morgan Elsbeth. She was first seen as Magistrate of the planet Corvus in an episode of The Mandalorian, though I didn't remember her by the time I watched this series. (At least, not until I looked up her name.) She also appeared in the series "Ahsoka", which I haven't watched yet. The first episode of this series is set when Morgan was a girl fighting a droid army with her clan of Nightsisters on Dathomir. Her mother is killed by General Grievous. She is then taken in by another clan, but eventually realizes her destiny lies elsewhere. In the second episode, she has become Magistrate of Corvus, and tried to strike a deal with the Empire to build ships she had designed, but they turn her down. Later, she is approached by Captain Pellaeon, who represents Admiral Thrawn. The admiral offers her his support. I must say, I don't understand why she was interested in helping the Empire, considering it came about because of the actions of the Separatists, including Grievous. But whatever. In the third episode, after the fall of the Empire, a representative of the New Republic named Nadura comes to Corvus to ask Morgan to step down as Magistrate, or be arrested. She refuses, and orders her soldiers to kill Nadura and her guards, but Nadura manages to send a distress signal. I thought all three episodes were decent, but I might have cared more about them if I had been more familiar with Morgan as a character.
The second arc follows former Jedi Barriss Offee, who I knew a little bit from The Clone Wars, though at the time I watched this series I hadn't yet seen all of that one, and I expect I'll see Barriss again at some point as I continue watching "The Clone Wars". This story begins shortly after "Revenge of the Sith", when the Empire has just recently been established. Barriss is in prison for crimes against the Republic (I hope to learn how that came about at some point in the earlier series). She is released by an Inquisitor of the Empire, because she had turned against the Jedi, and now receives some training from the Grand Inquisitor. She soon becomes an Inquisitor, herself. In the next episode, Barriss and another Inquisitor search for a Jedi who is in hiding. Barriss eventually comes to realize the Inquisitors are evil, and declares herself a Jedi again. In the final episode, a couple brings their baby to a healer, who turns out to be Barriss. The Empire wants to take the baby, who has the potential to become a Force-user. Barriss buys time for them to escape when an Inquisitor shows up. I think I liked this arc a bit better than the first one, but they're both pretty good.
